A female pedestrian has been pronounced dead after she was struck by a vehicle in Markham early Tuesday afternoon.
It happened in a parking lot near McCowan Road and Highway 7 at around 12:45 p.m.
The victim was rushed to hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver was arrested at the scene. Charges have not yet been filed.
