Lawyers representing disgraced former CBC Radio host Jian Ghomeshi appeared in court today for a judicial pre-trial hearing.

Ghomeshi, who faces seven counts of sexual assault and one count of choking--overcoming resistance, is currently on bail and did not appear in court today.

The former ‘Q’ host was first charged with four counts of sexual assault on Nov. 26 however it was revealed in February that three more women had come forward with allegations.

Ghomeshi has maintained that while he engaged in rough sex, it was always consensual.

His lawyers previously said he will be pleading not guilty to all charges.

The case is due back in court on May 12.
