Peel Regional Police say a 20-year-old man has been charged in a hit-and-run that killed an 82-year-old man in Mississauga.
The victim, Jong Joo Park, was crossing Goreway Drive on Morningstar Drive when he was struck by a car Saturday evening.
Park was rushed to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries.
After multiple appeals for information, police arrested a suspect Monday.
Keuth Geng has been charged with failing to remain at the scene of a collision causing death. The Mississauga resident was held for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
Despite the arrest, police continue to investigate the collision.
