- A man escaped a fire at a home on College Street by climbing through his window early Friday.
- Irish voters are holding a referendum to decide whether gay marriage will become legal in the country.
- There will be no subway service on Line 1 between Bloor-Yonge and Lawrence stations Saturday and Sunday as the TTC upgrades its ageing signal system.
