The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office has been called in to investigate after a two-alarm fire broke out at a building near Dupont Street and Dovercourt Road.

It happened shortly before 10 a.m.

Toronto Fire Services said heavy smoke and flames were visible before the fire was knocked down around 10:30 a.m.

Toronto police said the building also contained a legal medical marijuana grow-op. Police said the grow-op was licensed to hold 88 plants, but contained many more than that.

No one was injured.

Area roads are expected to be shut down for some time as the fire is investigated.
