Peel Regional Police say the second body pulled from the debris of a home that exploded in Mississauga earlier this week is that of 55-year-old Robert Nadler.

Police had earlier said Nadler and his wife, Dianne Page, 55, were associated with the home that exploded on Tuesday evening.

Nadler’s body was pulled from the site of the destroyed home on Thursday evening. Page’s body was found in the immediate aftermath of the blast.

Peel Regional Police said they have no idea what caused the explosion on Hickory Drive, near Rathburn and Dixie roads, and nine other people suffered non-life-threatening injuries as debris tore through the air in all directions.

Investigators from the Office of the Fire Marshal have been combing through the scene ever since.

The cause of the blast is not yet known.

Sources have told CTV News that Nadler was convicted of murdering his friend over money back in the 1980s.

As the dust settled around the explosion site, a large number of hand-written notes were found and appeared to be written by someone in some form of distress.

Police said they would use handwriting analysis to find out who wrote the notes and determine whether they were germane to the investigation.

The investigation at the blast site is likely to continue through the weekend.
