Police are appealing to the public for information after a man allegedly rubbed dog feces on the door of a synagogue in North York two weeks ago.

According to police, the man and his dog approached the Beth Joseph Lubavitch Chabad Synagogue in the Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue area on Aug. 31.

The man then allegedly rubbed animal excrement on the door of the synagogue and left the area.

The man is described as white with an average height and build. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark shirt with a black baseball cap. The dog is described as being a mixed-poodle type breed with white fur.
