A 31-year-old and a 28-year-old man were both killed after their motorcycle t-boned a car in Brampton early Saturday morning.

It happened in the intersection of Sandalwood Parkway and McLaughlin Road at around 2:30 a.m.

According to police, the occupants of the car were not injured.

“We are not able to confirm exactly what occurred at this point but we can say that the motorcycle did connect with the front passenger side of the vehicle and that caused both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle to fall and both parties were pronounced dead on scene,” Cst. Fiona Thivierge told CP24 Saturday morning. “Major collision bureau has a lot of information to collect and they have done a lot of interviews already. They will look at things like the functioning of the lights and whether or not alcohol or speed were a factor.”

Peel police identified the man later Saturday as Damian Hanchard, 31, and Bevon Blair, 28.

Police said the men’s families had been notified.

The intersection was closed for a time as police investigated the fatal collision.
