Police have arrested two people in connection to last week's murder of a 16-year-old on Neptune Drive in North York.

The teen, who can not be named due to new measures in the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was found shot to death in an apartment stairwell on Wednesday. Police were called to 135 Neptune Dr., near Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue, at about 4 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and is Toronto's 53rd homicide victim of 2010.

Two male teens -- a 16-year-old and 17-year-old – were arrested in relation to the case on Monday. They face first-degree murder charges. One was to appear in court on Monday, the other on Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing.
