The Ontario Provincial Police say they will update the Sonia Varaschin murder case on Thursday.

Investigators in the 42-year old Orangeville woman's case recently met with world-renowned criminal profilers from the FBI. Tomorrow, they'll update the public on what they've learned.

A member of the Varaschin family will also be in attendance to appeal to the public and speak about their first Christmas without Sonia.

Varaschin was murdered in late August. Her body was found in a wooded area near Orangeville a week later.

The OPP has said that a recent serious assault in the area that left a woman in serious condition is not linked to the Varaschin investigation.

No arrests have been made in either case.
