LINDSAY, Ont. - A post-mortem is underway on a man killed in a gunfight with police at an apparent crack house in Lindsay, Ont., while a police officer shot during the incident remains in hospital.

The Special Investigations Unit says a 21-year-old man from Durham Region was killed Wednesday as police executed a drug warrant at an apartment on Georgian Street.

Frank Phillips with the SIU says the deceased man's name isn't being released yet.

Const. Keith Calderwood is in stable condition at Toronto's St. Michael's Hospital after being shot during the drug raid in the central Ontario community.

The seven-year veteran of the Peterborough police force is a married father of three.

Meanwhile Kawartha Lakes Police say four of the five people who were taken into custody during the raid have been released from custody without charges.
