A man in his 40s is being treated for smoke inhalation after he was rescued from a burning building early Thursday.
Emergency personnel were called to a three-storey apartment building, located at Richmond Street West and Spadina Avenue, at about 2 a.m.
A two-alarm fire broke out in a suite and the building was evacuated.
Firefighters searched the building and located a man who was asleep in a suite. The man was taken to hospital, EMS officials said.
The fire's cause is under investigation.
A damage estimate wasn't available.
