TORONTO -- The Toronto Blue Jays signed shortstop Jiovanni Mier, second baseman David Adams and first baseman Casey Kotchman to minor-league contracts on Monday.

All three players will get invites to major-league spring training.

Adams, 28, played 43 games for the New York Yankees in 2013. He spent last season with double-A Jacksonville of the Southern League.

Kotchman, 32, played for triple-A Omaha of the Pacific Coast League last season. He has played for six major-league teams over his career, most recently with the Miami Marlins in 2013.
