MISSISSAUGA, Ont. -- Canadian guard Ashton Smith has signed with Raptors 905, the Toronto Raptors' NBA Development League team.

Smith was originally invited to the Raptors 905 training camp following the team's open tryout. He played in three pre-season games, averaging 5.3 points, 4.3 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 25.0 minutes.

The 26-year-old played college basketball at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

The team also waived Mike Anderson on Tuesday. Anderson played in one regular-season game, recording two rebounds and one assist in five minutes.

Raptors 905 plays its inaugural home opener Thursday against the Maine Red Claws at the Hershey Centre.
