A Loblaws store previously set to reopen Friday will now be opening on Monday instead, after it was shut down for a rodent infestation earlier this week.

The grocery retailer says it is using the extra time to restock 100 per cent of all fresh food at the store, and to retrain employees on safe food handling.

The store was ordered closed by health officials on Monday after an inspection. On Thursday afternoon, health inspectors found that all violations have been fixed.

According to a release issued by Loblaws on Thursday, the Dupont store was last inspected in September and no food safety violations were found at that time. Additionally, it says the store's last 10 inspections have been in compliance.

Customers who would like to return previously purchased items to the store can do so at the customer service desk for a full refund.
