A 35-year-old man has died from his injuries in hospital after being struck by a TTC streetcar on Sunday.
Police responded to a collision call after 12:30 a.m. on Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue.
It was reported that the man was crossing Queen Street East from the south side while talking on his cellphone, when he was struck. Police say he walked directly into the path of the streetcar.
He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he died on Monday
He is the 13th pedestrian to die on GTA roads this month. The victim’s identity has not been released.
