Three polling stations in downtown Toronto will remain open for an additional 30 minutes tonight after failing to open on time.

The three locations, all located in the riding of Trinity-Spadina, have had their hours extended to 9:30 p.m. after staff failed to open the doors at precisely 9 a.m., as required under the terms of the Ontario Election Act.

The effected polling stations are as follows:

  • Poll #578 (Fly Condominium)
  • Poll #556 (Lumiere Condominiums on Bay)
  • Poll #414 (Leonardo Court)

In addition to the three Toronto-area polls, Elections Ontario officials have also extended the voting hours at two polls in Kenora-Rainy River until 10 p.m. EST (9 p.m. local time) after flooding in the area washed out some roads earlier this morning.
