Toronto City Coun. Paul Ainslie has taken his fight with Mayor Rob Ford to the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council.

The basis of Ainslie's complaint is that the radio show, "The City With Mayor Rob Ford," gives the mayor and his brother, Coun. Doug Ford, an open forum for their views.

Ainslie describes the show as "a bully pulpit to advance their own agenda and to malign others for their own benefit.”

The show airs on CFRB-AM NewsTalk 1010 on Sunday afternoons.

Newstalk 1010 says they have no comment at this time but will respond to the complaint through the normal Canadian Broadcast Standards Council process.

Ainslie and Ford have been waging a public war of words since Ainslie voted against subway expansion to Scarborough last week.

CFRB-AM Newstalk 1010 and CP24 are owned by BellMedia.
