A three-year-old boy is safe at home after he was found wandering on a Brampton street early Tuesday morning.

Peel Regional Police said a citizen found the child – in his pajamas and without footwear – alone on the street near Linkdale Road and Centre Street North at about 1:20 a.m.

As they went door-to-door, officers figured out where the boy lives and returned him to his family.

It’s believed he wasn’t alone for long before he was found.

An ambulance was called to the scene so the boy could be checked over by paramedics, but no injuries were reported.

Charges are not being considered, police said.
