A convicted sex offender implicated in the sexual assault of dozens of young boys in the late 60s and early 70s is once again under arrest, facing additional charges of misconduct.

Gordon Stuckless, 64, turned himself into York Regional Police Tuesday where authorities placed him under arrest for the fifth time this year.

He turned himself in at a Richmond Hill police station after five men came forward with allegations of sexual abuse that date back about 30 years.

Stuckless is expected to appear in court Thursday to face 12 counts of indecent assault on a male, three counts of sex assault and eight counts of gross indecency.

In total, the suspect faces more than 70 criminal charges in both Toronto and York Region.

“All charges relating to separate investigations by Toronto Police Service and York Regional Police have been merged together,” says a press release issued by York Region authorities Wednesday afternoon.

“Police are urging any other victims to come forward and make a report at this time. The accused is known to have made contact with boys through schools and minor sports in the communities of Toronto, Thornhill and Oak Ridges. It is believed he also had contact with young boys through a hockey summer camp that used to be held in Haliburton County.”

In October, 1997, Stuckless pleaded guilty to sexually abusing 24 boys while working in maintenance at Maple Leaf Gardens, starting in 1969. He served five years for his crimes.
