A man was taken into custody under suspicion of impaired driving after fleeing the scene of an accident in the city’s west-end early Saturday morning.
It happened on Lansdwone Avenue north of Dupont Street at around 3:20 a.m.
According to police, the man struck several other vehicles before fleeing on foot.
Nobody was injured as a result.
Canine dogs found the man hiding in a nearby backyard a short time late.
Police are investigating.
