Several people escaped serious injury in a fiery crash on Highway 401 during Tuesday morning’s commute.

At least two vehicles erupted in flames after the crash occurred in the westbound collectors lanes at Bellamy Road shortly before 7 a.m.

Five vehicles were involved in the crash, including a delivery truck bearing Doritos logos.

Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control within 15 minutes.

No one was seriously injured, Ontario Provincial Police said.

Toronto EMS told CP24 a male suffered a laceration above his eye.

Officials with the Ministry of Environment were notified because fluids from the vehicles leaked into sewers, a Toronto Fire spokesman said.
