It appears Toronto’s first blast of winter weather will arrive just in time for the city’s Santa Claus Parade on Sunday.

For those heading out to the event, be sure to bundle up. Environment Canada is calling for a 70 per cent chance of flurries Sunday with a high of 1 C.

The 112th annual parade gets underway at 12:30 p.m. and is expected to run for approximately two-and-a-half hours.

Toronto police are advising people attending the parade to take public transit due to traffic congestion in the downtown core.

The parade starts at Christie Pits Park and runs eastbound along Bloor Street, southbound on Queen's Park Crescent/ University Avenue and then eastbound on Wellington Street West/Front Street East. The event wraps up at Front Street East and Jarvis Street.
