Scooter collides with truck in east end

A woman in her 30s has been taken to hospital with a leg injury after her scooter collided with a transport truck in the city's east end.

It happened near Danforth and Jones avenues around 2:45 p.m.

According to EMS, the woman is in stable condition.

Foul play ruled out after bodies found

Police have ruled out foul play after two bodies were recovered in separate Southern Ontario towns Wednesday.

The first body, which has since been identified as a missing Toronto man, was found in an Uxbridge pond near Concession Road 7 and Davis Drive at around 11 a.m. Wednesday morning.

In a separate, unrelated incident, a second body was discovered on an ice floe off the coast of Wasaga Beach late Wednesday afternoon.

Detectives said Friday that police have ruled out foul play in both cases.

Cyclist in hospital after crash

A cyclist is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle on McCowan Road in Scarborough early Friday morning, Toronto police say.

The collision occurred south of Ellesmere Road at about 6 a.m.

Police told CP24 the cyclist's injuries weren't as severe as initially feared.

McCowan was closed between Ellesmere and Huronia Gate for about three hours as police conducted an investigation at the scene.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the incident.

No one has been charged.
