Police have removed a command post outside the home of missing teen Mariam Makhniashvili, an indication they are reducing resources focused on finding the girl, who has been missing for two weeks.

A Level 3 search, the highest in the Toronto police search hierarchy, had officers canvassing the area near her home and Forest Hill Collegiate since days after her disappearance. A helicopter search of nearby Earl Bales Park has not revealed any clues.

The 17-year-old had visited the park near Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue several times with her family.

Makhniashvili was last seen on Sept. 14 when she walked to school with her brother. They separated after arriving on school grounds after she told him she planned to enter a different door that was closer to her first class of the day.

She has not been seen or heard from since.

Makhniashvili is described as five-foot-three, with light brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants, a light blue shirt and a dark blue jean jacket. She was carrying a large black backpack with a green stripe.
