Thousand of jobs in the province are at stake with the news that the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. is considering the closure of three slot machine locations.

CTV News has learned that the OLG is preparing to close money-losing slot locations in Fort Erie, Windsor and Sarnia over the coming months.

The corporation would not confirm the closure of the three facilities Tuesday, but did say that official announcements on expansions and closures would likely come within days.

The news comes just one day after the agency announced plans to put a new casino in the Toronto area and to modernize gambling to boost revenues.
