Toronto police and York University are investigating after a female student reported a sexual assault to school officials early Wednesday morning.
According to a bulletin released Wednesday night, the alleged incident happened in a university residence early Saturday morning.
The individuals involved were known to each another, the bulletin says.
The university is reminding members of the community to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious behaviour to school security services.
