ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled left-handed pitcher Rob Rasmussen and selected the contract of right-hander Todd Redmond from triple-A Buffalo, and activated right-handed knuckleballer R.A. Dickey from the bereavement list.

Rasmussen has appeared in 21 games for Buffalo this season, posting a 4-1 record with a 2.93 earned-run average. He has 31 strikeouts and has allowed 21 hits in 30.2 innings.

Rasmussen appeared in 10 games for Toronto last season, recording a 3.18 earned-run average in 11.1 innings 11.88 ERA over 8.1 innings

Redmond has a 11.88 ERA over 8.1 innings in three appearances with the Jays this season. He is 1-2 with a 4.81 ERA in 10 appearances with Buffalo.

Dickey returns after being placed on the bereavement list Thursday. Dickey's father, Harry Lee Dickey, died last Tuesday at the age of 63.

The right-hander has a 3-6 record with a 4.96 ERA this season with the Jays.
