Provincial police say the man's body was pulled from Lake Ontario by family members late Sunday afternoon.

He was spotted motionless a short time after going into the water.

Cautionary red flags were flying on the beach at the time because of high winds and waves, advising swimmers of unsafe conditions due to the strong undertow.

An autopsy will be done today.
