Kim Kardashian a member of America’s First Family?
The notion was a bit too much for people to take.
Cosmopolitan, a magazine geared towards women, tweeted a photo Sunday night of their latest cover. On it, Kim Kardashian flanked by her four sisters – Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie and Kendall Jenner – as well as her momager Kris Jenner and the words “America’s First Family” in bold pink print.
America’s official First Family is always considered to be the president, his spouse and their children. But the photo of the reality TV stars marked the first time in four years they had been photographed together and Cosmo chose to highlight the moment as part of their 50th birthday celebration.
The tweet was retweeted more than 300 times but the backlash the magazine received went on for hours. Here are some of the reactions people had to the cover.

The Kardashian-Jenner family represents entitlement, privilege, & insecurity in natural beauty. Is that what makes them 1st, @Cosmopolitan?

Can I skip next month's issue? Because this isn't mine or America's first family. pic.twitter.com/hiWPe1B3UW @Cosmopolitan

@Cosmopolitan gross. And NOT America's first family. Just because we can't get away from them, doesn't mean they are our "first family."

.@Cosmopolitan This the First Family. (And if talking entertainment, in the last *century* that'd be the Jacksons.) pic.twitter.com/oDpc1kJPBM

@Cosmopolitan This is so sad. No wonder the rest of the world dumps on us.

They do it on purpose to provoke us. It's a business strategy.
