A two-alarm fire at a highrise apartment building sent a massive plume of smoke into the air Friday afternoon.
Before firefighters extinguished the blaze, the wall of thick, black smoke was visible from several kilometres away.
The fire broke out at a building on Weston Road, north of Lawrence Avenue West, at about 1 p.m.
