Part of Yonge Street is closed as Toronto’s annual BuskerFest overtakes the downtown artery for the weekend.

The four-day charity fundraiser was previously held around St. Lawrence Market, but it is taking place on Yonge Street this year.

Motorists should take note of the following road closures:

  • Yonge Street from Queen to Gerrard streets from Thursday at 6:15 p.m. to Sunday at 11:59 p.m.
  • Yonge Street from Gerrard to College streets from Saturday at 9 a.m. to Sunday at 11:59 p.m.

There will also be closures on local streets, including Victoria, Gould, Edward and Elm

Roads are closing for two other weekend events:

The northbound lanes of Spadina Avenue will be closed between Dundas and College streets, and Huron Street will be closed from Dundas to D’Arcy streets for Chinatown Festival on Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday, the Bio-K+ Bum Run 5K race will result in a series of closures bordered by Bay Street to the east, College Street to the south, Spadina Avenue to the west, and Bloor Street to the north from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
