A suspect accused of kidnapping and killing an Ancaster family man now also stands accused of killing his own father and his ex-girlfriend.

Dellen Millard, 28, who is in jail awaiting trial for the murder of Tim Bosma, was charged Wednesday with the first-degree murder of his father Wayne Millard and his former companion Laura Babcock, the Ontario Provincial Police has confirmed.

Wayne Millard died in December 2012. His death was ruled a suicide and his son wrote a moving obituary in the Toronto Star.

"He was a good man in a careless world," Dellen Millard wrote.

Babcock went missing in June, 2012. Police began seriously looking at Millard as a potential suspect in the case in 2013, after he was arrested in connection with Bosma’s murder. Back in September 2013, investigators combed Millard’s farm for evidence of Babcock’s death.

Police have not said if her remains have been located.

Police announced Thursday that they have also charged Millard’s co-accused in Bosma’s death Mark Smich, 26, with first-degree murder in Babcock’s death.

Authorities have also laid a charge against Millard’s recent girlfriend Christina Noudga, 21, with being an accessory after the fact to murder in relation to Bosma’s disappearance and death.  She was expected in court today.

“As a result of an ongoing and intensive criminal investigation which began on May 6, 2013 involving the collaborative efforts of the Hamilton Police Service, the Toronto Police Service, and the OPP, the following charges are now being preferred by police in the matter known as ‘Project Capella’,” police said in a news release Thursday afternoon.

Police held a brief news conference where they detailed the charges against the three suspects but the detective refused to answer any questions from reporters.

Bosma went missing in May 2013 after two men came to his house to test drive a truck that he had put up for sale online. Bosma bade goodbye to his wife and never returned home.

His charred remains were found about a week after he disappeared.

Police have said the two suspects were complete strangers to Bosma and the motive for his murder has yet to be publicly disclosed.
