A male driver has been pronounced dead after his vehicle collided head-on with a dump truck near Newmarket.
It happened near Davis Drive and Kennedy Road at around 3 p.m. after one of the vehicles crossed a median, police say.
The driver of the car was initially trapped, however he was extricated by emergency crews a short time later and rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries in the crash.
