Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two people following a report that a female was forced into a van in the city’s north end Friday afternoon.

It stems from an incident in the Steeles Avenue and Kennedy Road area at around 2:15 p.m.

According to police, a female was forced into a vehicle following an argument near a bus stop located on the southeast corner of the intersection.

The van was last seen heading east on Steeles Avenue, police said.

The incident was reported to police by a witness.

Officers who responded to the call were unable to find the man, female, or the vehicle involved.

“Police are concerned for the (female’s) safety and are asking for the public’s assistance in either identifying the two people involved on providing any information they may have witnessed at the time,” police said Friday night.

The man is described as Asian, 25 to 30 years old, standing approximately five-foot-eight.

The female is described Asian, 16 or 17 years old, standing approximately five-foot-three.

The vehicle is a grey Toyota Sienna, police said.
