Toronto Police say a 25-year-old suspect has been arrested after a woman was sexually assaulted near Yonge-Dundas Square last Friday night.

Investigators say a 19-year-old woman was walking in the area of Dundas Street East and Victoria Street at 11 p.m. on Sept. 23.

A man approached her, accosted her and then sexually assaulted her, police said.

On Thursday, a suspect identified as Frazier Negatu Makonnen of Toronto was arrested.

He was charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of assault.

He appeared in court at College Park on Friday morning.

Police are concerned there are other victims who have not yet come forward.
