A 54-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman that he befriended at a Scarborough church four years ago.
Police say that the man was a member of a church in the Pharmacy Avenue and St. Clair Avenue area when he befriended a 55-year-old woman.
It is alleged that the man then sexually assaulted the woman at her residence sometime between June 1, 2012 and August 30, 2012. Police further allege that the man sexually assaulted the woman on a second occasion, sometime between September 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012.
Bisnauth Singh, 54 of Toronto, was arrested last Thursday and charged with two counts of sexual assault.
Police say that Singh appeared in court on Friday.
