Peel Regional Police say an Oakville man has been charged after several people fought over a parking spot at Mississauga’s busy Square One Mall on Saturday.
Police were called to the parking lot of the mall at about 2 p.m. Saturday, after they received a call about a confrontation.
In a video of the fight posted to social media, two men are seen swinging fists at each other while shoppers look on.
One man involved appeared to suffer a bloody nose.
While police originally said two male parties were arrested in relation to this incident, only one has been charged.
Police say the decision to charge one person was made after a review of video footage and witness testimony. They say the three people who fled the scene when police arrived are minors and will not be charged.
Salman Aziz, 38, has been charged with one count of assault and one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
