On the one-year anniversary of Brampton resident Tho Huynh’s murder, Peel Regional Police are making a public appeal for new information.

Huynh was murdered in the early morning hours of Aug. 1, 2014 when he was out for a jog. Police say he was confronted by an unknown person at the intersection of Hurontario Street and Conservation Drive in Brampton when he was violently attacked.

In a statement released Thursday, Huynh’s family said they are reaching out to the public in hopes someone will provide information that leads to an arrest in the case.

“He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to many… We are asking for your assistance to bring justice to this case and to give our families some much needed closure,” the statement read.

Police are asking anyone who was in the Hurontario Street and Conservation Drive area on August 1, 2014, or anyone with any information relating to this investigation, to contact the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3205.
