A pack of stray horses momentarily tied up traffic in Caledon Saturday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police and Peel Regional Police both responded to the call after seven horses were spotted roaming Mayfield Road near Chinguacousy Road at around 11 a.m.
Officers needed about an hour to apprehend all of the horses and Creditview Road was temporarily shut down north of Mayfield Road to assist police in their efforts.
The horses will be returned to the Caledon farm that they belong to, Peel police say.
It is not known how the horses ended up on the loose.
