Durham police are appealing to the public to help them identify a man whose body washed up on the Pickering shoreline Saturday morning.

The man's body was was spotted by dog walkers around 7:40 a.m. near Beachpoint Promenade, east of West Shore Boulevard, in the Frenchman’s Bay area of Pickering.

Police do not have a record of the man having been reported missing. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death, but police do not consider the death to be suspicious.

The deceased is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5’9” to 5’11” tall, with a medium build and a shaved or bald head.
