Durham Regional Police say a body found in Whitby on Saturday has been positively identified as belonging to missing teacher Jeffrey Boucher.

A post-mortem examination performed on the body found that there were no obvious signs of trauma, however a cause of death has not yet been determined.

The body was discovered by a passerby at around 2:20 p.m. Saturday on the shores of Lake Ontario near Thickson Road South and Crystal Beach Boulevard.

Durham Regional Police say they don’t suspect foul play in Boucher’s death.

Boucher, 52, disappeared on Jan. 13 after apparently leaving his family's home to go for a run.
