Police have issued a public safety alert as they look to track down a man wanted in connection with a pair of sexual assaults in the Don Valley Village neighbourhood last month.

The first happened in the Don Mills Road and Leith Hill Drive area on the afternoon of Sept. 26.

According to police, a 20-year-old woman was walking in the area at around 1:30 p.m.when she was approached from behind by a man who grabbed and sexually assaulted her.

He fled following the incident, police said.

The second incident took place three days later just blocks away in the area of Trailside Drive and Lescon Road.

Similar to the first incident, the female victim – this time 37 years old – was walking when she was approached from behind, grabbed, and sexually assaulted by a man at around 7:30 p.m.

He fled the scene after she screamed.

The suspect is described as a short, white man who stands between five-foot-one and five-foot-six, with a thin build.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater with red and white stripes on the back, black pants, and blue and red bandana with stars covering his face.
