First responders from various cities in the GTA are searching the shores of Lake Ontario in Ajax for a missing canoeist.
Toronto police’s marine unit said they are helping firefighters in Ajax search for the boater, who went missing sometime before noon on Sunday.
Ajax firefighters said they are positioned at Rotary Park, with four fire trucks on scene.
They said the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre at CFB Trenton is also aware of the search.
