TORONTO -- The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating a runaway train that rolled more than five kilometres from a rail yard in Toronto last week.
TSB spokesman Eric Collard says a crew was moving the 74-car train remotely around 11:30 p.m. on June 17 when it rolled away.
Collard says the train was stationed at the MacMillan Yard in north Toronto and finally came to rest on an uphill embankment on the main track heading east.
He says there were no injuries, no derailments and no damage to either the train or the track.
Collard says investigators are working to determine how the train got away.
