The driver of a tractor trailer lost control of his vehicle, sending it careening off a Highway 404 ramp and crashing onto the westbound lanes of Highway 401.
Police shut down all westbound express lanes of Highway 401 at Highway 404 after the truck collided with two vehicles. They were reopened several hours later shortly after 9 p.m.
No one was seriously injured. The driver of the truck and those in the two vehicles it collided with all suffered minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances around the collision, including whether speed was a factor.
