Toronto police say two people have died after they were shot in a shopping plaza's parking lot in Scarborough on Friday night.
Toronto Police tweeted that they were called to Victoria Park Avenue and Ellesmere Road sometime around 10 p.m. for a report of a shooting.
Paramedics said a woman and a man suffered gunshot wounds and were being to rushed to Sunnybrook Hospital via land ambulance. They were later pronounced dead.
Staff Sgt. Roulette of 41 Division said the shooting happened in the parking lot of a nearby plaza. He said officers are looking at surveillance footage from the stores nearby.
Police tweeted they were looking for a light coloured minivan driven by a male that was last seen driving away from the scene southbound on Victoria Park Avenue.
