Toronto police have identified a man who was fatally stabbed at a home in Scarborough one week ago, as well as his alleged killer.

Police were called to a house on Bonnechere Crescent, in the Brimley Road and Lawrence Avenue area, shortly before 1 p.m. on Dec. 4.

A man with obvious signs of trauma was located and pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination concluded a stab wound was the cause of death.

Another man was taken into custody at the scene by police.

In a release issued Thursday afternoon, police identified the victim as 49-year-old Timothy James Bailey.

Bradley Allen Shreve, 52, is charged with second-degree murder.

He appeared in court Dec. 5.
