While no official ID has been made on a body found in a Bolton-area pond Saturday night, there is "reasonable suspicion" to suggest that it is that of a missing Brampton woman, a spokesperson with Peel police said.

"We have reasonable suspicion, at this point, that [it] is the body of the victim involved in the kidnapping," Peel police spokesperson Const. Adam Minnion said during a press conference in Palgrave, Ont. Sunday afternoon.

On Saturday night, Const. Minnion sent out a tweet at around 10:30 p.m. saying that investigators would not release any more information until they have confirmed the identity of the deceased person.

Raquel Junio, 42, went missing late this week. Investigators say Junio was taken against her will from a home on Deerfield Crescent, near Torbram Road and Steeles Avenue East, and forced into a pickup truck early Thursday morning.

Const. Minnion told CP24 that investigators received a "very strong" lead Saturday evening that a body was located in a pool of water at Country Road 50 near Zimmerman Road.

He later sent out a tweet saying that police had blocked off the area and were conducting a search.

Earlier Saturday, Peel region detectives arrested a second man in connection with the abduction of the Brampton woman.

Gary Murray, 42, is charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement and assault in connection with the disappearance.

On Friday, Junio's estranged husband 43-year-old Macdermid Ermacora was charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement and assault.

An autopsy on the body will be conducted Monday morning.
