UTICA, N.Y. - Connor Brown scored 4:07 into overtime as the Toronto Marlies edged the Utica Comets 4-3 in American Hockey League action on Friday night.

Andrew MacWilliam opened the scoring for the Marlies (9-13-2) in the second period with his first of the season. Byron Froese and Ryan Rupert also chipped in with their first goals of year in the third.

Nicklas Jensen struck twice for Utica (17-5-4), with Bobby Sanguinetti adding the other Comets goal.

Toronto goaltender Antoine Bibeau turned away 46 shots for Toronto in the victory, while Utica's Joacim Eriksson made 14 saves.

The Marlies failed to score on two power-play chances while Utica went 1 for 2 with the man advantage.
